KETCHIKAN

SPORTFISHING: Fishing for salmon in Juneau or Ketchikan

Orca Enterprises represents a cooperative group of independent charter boat owner/operators. Captains are experienced Alaskan fishermen that specialize in charter fishing, and the boats are some of the finest in Southeast Alaska. We can book your sport fishing adventure for 4 hours, 6 hours, or 8 hours.  Fishing Licenses and custom processing are available from your captain.  All gear and tackle provided.

BEAR WATCHING:  $250 – Trader’s Cove (Available Aug 15 - Sept 30)

Escape on a float plane to Trader’s Cove for a guided hike, viewing Alaska’s famous Black Bears.  Flight time is 1 hour 15 minutes.  You will land and be guided your pilot to observe the bears as Mother Nature, the bears, and safety permit. Tour duration approx. 3 hours.

 

BEAR WATCHING:  $325 – Anan Creek (Available July 5 -Aug 30)

Enjoy premium black bear viewing opportunities found at remote and beautiful Anan Creek, as you fly over spectacular Behm Canal (Misty Fjords) and the rugged Cleveland Peninsula to land at serene Anan Bay.  Take a pleasant hike along a well maintained U.S. Forest Service trail to a secure bear observatory overlooking a beautiful waterfall.  This is one of the largest concentrations of black and brown bears in Alaska gathering to feed on the large run of spawning pink salmon.  Tour allows time for an unguided hike as you explore and view on your own.  Tour duration approx. 4 hours.

 MISTY FJORD:  $189

Fly over majestic fjords, cascading waterfalls, jewel like lakes and a variety of wildlife.  Enjoy breathtaking walls of granite rising over 3,000 feet and lush forests cinging to snow capped peaks.  The fjords reveal massive glacier action in the ice rimmed wilderness.  Watch for occasional sightings of mountain goats, bear, deer, wolves, and bald eagles while in this paradise.  Tour duration 2 hours.

 

SEA KAYAKING:  $68

Experience Alaska’s wilderness and wildlife on a kayak journey through the rain forest.  Tours consist of small groups with local guides, fun, safe and personal.   Hydrophones and binoculars are provided and no experience is required.   Tour duration 2 ½ hours.

JUNEAU

WHALE WATCHING 

Orca Enterprises specializes in whale watching. A fun, professional, entertaining and educational experience. If you do nothing else in Juneau this is the "must do trip". BEAR WATCHING 

Experience bear watching via float plane on Admiralty Island, known to the local Indians as Kootznoowoo (Fortress of the Bears), Admiralty Island features the largest concentration of Brown Bears (Grizzlies) and nesting Bald Eagles in the world. You will land and observe bears from the float plane as mother nature, the bears, and safety permit.  Tour duration approximately 3 hours. Cost is $200 per person.

Add a guided hike to your bear watching experience. Tour duration approximately 4 hours. Cost is $300 per person.

All day Pack Creek bear watching excursions. $250 per person plus permit ($50 per person as available).  Contact us for more details. 

 

HELICOPTER FLIGHT SEEING -Juneau

This is an exhilarating experience. Enjoy a one hour helicopter flight over the Juneau Ice Fields and several glaciers. You will actually land and enjoy a 15 minute walk about on a glacier. This tour is owned and operated by a local company and is not available from the cruise ships.  Schedule can be set to coordinate with the whale watch tour to get the most from your time in Juneau.     $175 total per person

Icefield and Glacier Trekking

A bit more adventurous than the one hour flight and landing  on a glacier.  This tour is a one hour or two hour hike on a glacier and the associated ice field.  Complete with all the gear, crampons, ice pick etc.  An adventure the average person can enjoy and remember forever.  One hour Trek $289, two hour Trek $319

 

TRACY ARM FJORD

Enjoy this all day excursion to the Sawyer Glaciers through this spectacular fjiord.  Witness Alaska's most active tidewater glaciers calving and producing Alaska's largest icebergs.  Although wildlife is often seen and pointed out on this trip it is not a wildlife cruise. Departure time is 8:30 AM and returns at 6:00 PM. $105 per person

SKAGWAY

SLED DOGS:   $78 + tax

 What better way to enjoy Alaska than to experience a team of powerful huskies pulling a sled?  A great tour that has been created for you to experience authentic Alaskan sled dogs without the need for a helicopter to the ice fields or snow.  Your ride with take you along the historic Gold Rush Settlement of  Dyea.  After the ride relax while you enjoy refreshments and cuddle some adorable Alaska husky puppies.  Tour duration approx. 2 hrs. 30min. 

 

4X4 WILDERNESS ADVENTURES:  Chilkoot Adventure - $65 + tax 

       Yukon Adventure    - $140 + tax

 This unique adventure offers the best of both worlds, featuring gold rush history and an off-the-beaten path nature excursion.   Both tours include an eyes-wide-open and fun-filled four wheeling adventure into the rugged mountains of Skagway or the Yukon.

 Chilkoot Adventure includes:  Skagway overlook, Face Mountain, Long Bay, Dyea, Chilkoot Trail and West Creek.  Tour duration approx. 3 hours.

Yukon Adventure includes:  White Pass Summit, parallels the train, “Tormented” Valley, Bennett, Tagish and Tutshi lakes, mile high mountains, Carcross, historic silver mines, Bove Island.  Lunch is included.  Because this tour goes into the Yukon, a Photo ID is required (in addition to any personal required paperwork). Tour duration approx. 6 hours. 

 

SUMMIT CITY TOUR: $35.00 + tax

 White Pass Summit and city tour parallels much of the train to the summit and beyond.  Included is a visit to the Gold Rush Cemetery, where the legendary Soapy Smith was laid to rest, plus a stop at the breathtaking Skagway overlook.  Tour duration approx. 2 ½ hours.
